Well, I thought I would write another update before we head off to the jungle in the morning. It's been a fantastic day of work around the church here today. We have partnered with this church for so many years to do ministry for the Bribri tribe, but we have never got to actually serve this church directly. So, we have been serving them today through work projects around their church. We have painted the roof of their church, gardened, chopped down bamboo with machetes and lots of cleaning and window washing. As I write this update, the drama and music teams are practicing for the camp and the rest of the team is eagerly getting ready for the morning as well. I am so glad we had an extra day of ministry at the church this year. Leaving 24 hours early from Atascadero truly has been a blessing. We (ABC team leaders) are having coffee at the pastors house this evening with his wife to talk and pray about our partnership and ministry together. It should be a great time. In addition, I have two other important meetings today (at 4:00 and at 8:00) as well with some of the Kyrios (church missons) team members about some personal things going on in their life. It should be a great time for me to be able to encourage them and pray with them regarding where they are at in life. You can be praying for these meetings and that I would have discernment and wisdom as I meet with them.
By the way, our bus problem has been reolved and we are scheduled to leave at 5:00am tomorrow morning for the Talamanca Mountains. Thank you for your prayers regarding the bus. I also thank you for your prayers regarding our health. So far, so good. Please pray for our journey tomorrow and the camp that will be taking place this Wednesday through Saturday. During these next few days it may be really hard to leave an update, so bear with us. We will update you as soon as we can once we arrive.
Our team has been working extremely hard, had phenomenal attitudes, and already developed some great relationships with the members of the church. They are going to do great in the jungle. They are representing ABC and the body of Christ well.
Thanks for your prayers,
Adam (on behalf of the 2011 Costa Rica team)
