We woke up to a wet and rainy morning here in Fresno but the sun is already starting to poke through the clouds. We have half our team out at the Poverello house and the other half back here at World Impact doing a variety of projects. We enjoyed some great church services yesterday in Fresno and one of our teams got to experience a local house church. It is quite different than back at home but a great experience for these students. Yesterday afternoon we put on a carnival in King's Estates. I first went to King's Estates nearly ten years ago. It is a low income housing development in the southwest part of town. After putting on the carnival the local missionary from that neighborhood was extremely complimentary of our group and how interactive and involved they were with the kids. We then headed to dinner at a local Hmong restaurant, Pho 75#2. It was a unique ethnic experience for our students to say the least.
Our time of sharing last night was great as always. It's so great to hear what God has been doing in the students lives. They each talked about things they wanted to leave behind and things they wanted to take home. I want to invite everyone to our "Spotlight on Fresno" this Wednesday in Downtown at 6:30pm to hear firsthand the testimonies from the young people that came on this outreach.
Thanks again for your prayers. Please keep praying today as we wrap up and journey home.
Adam (on behalf of the 2012 Fresno team)
